Antenna bearings at EA5DY/4
Surrounding landscape is key to achieve adecuate takeoff angles of radiation for DX. These
are horizon views from just below the yagis at the tower.

Effect of the surrounding terrain
on 20m
Adding a second 20m yagi at the
middle of the tower would not bring
much advantages as most elevation
statistics angles are reasonably well
covered.
The extra 2 dB when phasing the two
yagis are probably not worth the job.
Or do they?
Effect of the surrounding terrain
on 15m
HFTA analysis showed that the 15m yagi
placed 27 meters high is excellent for DX
(low angles) but has a deep null at 15º.
Adding and phasing a second yagi at 14
meters high all incoming statistics angles
would be covered. Mmmmh, to be
included on the to-do list.
